Shortly after 2:30 am the Chatham Kent Police stopped a male party on Main Street Ridgetown who was suspected to have been involved in a gas drive off earlier in the evening. Through investigation it was confirmed that he was involved in the gas drive off and police also learned that he was breaching his conditions of release for an unrelated matter. The male party was arrested and transported to Police headquarters and lodged in the cells.
A 28 year old Chatham man faces theft charges as well as a charge of breaching his recognizance. He will appear in bail court later today.
