(Prince Edward County, ON)â€â€On the evening of October 13, 2014 officers from the Ontario Provincial Police Prince Edward County detachment were conducting a R.I.D.E. check at the intersection of Loyalist Parkway and County Road 64, Ameliasburgh. At 9:39pm a vehicle was stopped. Police observed that the driver had been consuming alcohol.
The male driver, 42-year old Alex Gordon BORBE LY of Ameliasburgh, ON was arrested and is charged with Operation With Over 80mgs. of Alcohol, contrary to Section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was later released from police custody on a promise to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Picton on November 19, 2014.
