THREE VEHICLES INVOLVE IN COLLISION

Police have charged a 23 year old Township of Malahide man with Careless driving after he was involved in a three vehicle collision on Imperial Road between Glen Colin Line and College Line, Township of Malahide. The collision occurred on October 11th, 2014 around 3:53pm.

The 23 year old Township of Malahide man was traveling northbound on Imperial Road when his attention was averted to several loose tires that were moving around in the back of his vehicle. The vehicle he was operating, a 1999 Ford Explorer SUV then rear ended a 2010 GMC Sierra. The GMC Sierra had been also traveling northbound when it stopped to turn into a private drive. The force of the collision pushed the GMC Sierra into the southbound lane where it collided with a 2009 Hyundai Car.

Township of Malahide Fire as well as Thames EMS both attended the scene to assist.

The driver and lone occupant of the Ford Explorer a 23 year old Township of Malahide, ON man was transported to hospital with minor injuries.

The driver and lone occupant of the GMC Sierra a 49 year old Township of Malahide, ON man was also transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver and lone occupant of the 2009 Hyundai car, a 60 year old London, ON woman was not injured in the collision

Police have charged Derek MANN, age 23 of the Township of Malahide, ON with;

Careless Driving contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.

Imperial Road was re-opened at approximately 5:15pm.
