(GARDEN RIVER FIRST NATION, ON) – On Friday, October 10, 2014 at approximately 2:15 pm a Batchewana First Nation police officer on patrol observed an SUV swerving all over the roadway and stopped the vehicle on Syrette Lake Road.
Upon speaking with the driver and further police investigation, 33 year old Nadia PEZZUTTO of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario was arrested and charged with one count of Impaired Driving and one count of Operating a Motor Vehicle with over 80 milligrams of alcohol contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released on a Promise to Appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario on November 3, 2014.
