(COLBORNE, ON) – On October 17, 2014 at 3:50pm, Cramahe Township Fire Department responded to a structure fire at a house on Parliament Street in Colborne. They were assisted by the Brighton, Trent Hills and Alnwick-Haldimand Fire Departments. Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) also provided assistance with public safety issues.
Firefighters battled the blaze for 3 hours which had fully engulfed the home.
Cramahe Fire Chief, Brandon Northrup, advised that there was no one at home at the time of the fire which he estimates caused in excess of $150,000 in damages.
The Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office was consulted and the Northumberland OPP Crime Unit continues to investigate the incident.
