OPP RESPOND TO COLLISION AT HIGHWAY 11/17 AND OLIVER ROAD

(THUNDER BAY, ON) On Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at approximately 10:00 am, officers from the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Superior North EMS responded to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 11/17 and Oliver Road.

Investigation revealed the driver of a log truck was south bound on Highway 11/17 when the driver approached the intersection at Oliver Road and failed to stop for the posted traffic light.

The driver of a Ford Fusion was east bound on Oliver Road, at the intersection, when the two vehicles collided. The driver was transported to hospital by ambulance with minor injuries. The vehicle sustained extensive damage.

Regis CORBIN, 42 years of age, from Thunder Bay was charged with Failing to Stop at a Red Light contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He was not injured.
