Shortly after 5:00 a.m. this morning, police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Queens Line between Merlin Road and Drake Road. A 41-year-old Chatham woman struck a deer with her vehicle. The woman was not injured. Her vehicle sustained approximately $5000 damage.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service would like to remind drivers that the risk of being involved in a collision involving wildlife is high during October and November. Most collisions occur during dusk or dawn, so please if you’re driving during these peak times, take extra precaution.
