Shortly after 2:00 a.m. this morning, police received information about a suspicious man riding a bike in the area of Richmond Street in Chatham. Officers were given the man’s physical description. Around 2:30 a.m. officers located the man on Keil Drive. Through investigation, the man was found to be in possession of break and enter tools. Upon being searched incident to arrest, the man was also found to be in possession of drugs.
Richard Williams, 49 years, of Orchard Heights in Chatham has been charged with being in possession of break in tools and drug possession. He was released with conditions pending a future court date.
