(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On Thursday, October 23, 2014 at approximate 5:27 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a house fire on 30th Street West, north of Park Street, in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.
The Inter-Township Fire Department attended and extinguished the fire which is believed to have started in the lower level of the single family, split level home.
One person is confirmed dead. A second victim, a 23 year old male, was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. There were no other people inside the residence at the time of the fire.
The Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office and the Technical Standards & Safety Authority are assisting with the investigation which is in its early stages.
