(COLLINGWOOD, ONTARIO) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged a male motorist yesterday evening with numerous offences in Collingwood.
On the 23rd of October 2014 at approximately 6:30pm, officers attempted to stop a vehicle on Second Street in Collingwood. The driver failed to stop and proceeded to go onto First Street and into the McDonald’s parking lot where he then fled the scene on foot. The male was arrested a short time later and taken to Collingwood detachment for processing.
Charged is 28 year-old John FENN of Collingwood, he is charged with Criminal Code offences of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and flight while pursued by police officer. He is to appear in in Collingwood criminal court on the 18th of November 2014.
As well he was charged with Highway Traffic Act offences of driving while under suspension and fail to notify change of address on his license. He is to appear for those charges in Collingwood provincial offences court on the 21st of November 2014.
