(SAUGEEN FIRST NATION, ON) – On October 29th, 2014 at 12:25a.m., members of the Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P.) responded to a call for assistance on Saugeen First Nation.
While police were investigating this occurrence, access to a residence in the 6400 block of Highway 21, Saugeen First Nation, was restricted and cordoned off.
A search warrant has since been completed at this residence and access returned to the owner.
Information obtained thus far has revealed that there had been a domestic altercation at the aforementioned residence between a male, 41, and female, 40.
This altercation has led to the arrest of a 41 year old Saugeen First Nation resident. He had a bail hearing on October 29th, 2014 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton and has been charged with:
Forcible confinement
Mischief under $5000
Assault cause bodily harm
Assault with a weapon
Administering noxious substance
Utter threats to cause death
The investigation is continuing with support of the Bruce Peninsula OPP Crime Unit, Grey County OPP Crime Unit and the OPP Forensic Identification Services Unit.
