(Otonabee-South Monaghan Township, ON) – On October 27, 2014 members of the Peterborough County OPP received a complaint from a youth that he had been the victim of a violent crime while on Old Keene Road.
A 16 year old male resident of Keene Road advised that he had been the victim of a Robbery that occurred in a parking lot on Old Keene Road. The victim reported that three occupants of a motor vehicle had assaulted him then stole his cell phone and wallet containing a quantity of cash. The victim received minor injuries and did not require medical treatment.
An investigation was initiated by the Peterborough County OPP Crime Unit and as a result of the investigation; on Wednesday November 5, 2014 three male adults were arrested and charged with offences related to the investigation:
1) 21 year old Joshua AUDET of No Fixed Address, charged with Robbery and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon
2) 19 year old Munyaradzi, GONOUYA, of Selwyn Township, charged with Robbery
3) 20 year old Christian, MOMPREVIL, of Ottawa, charged with Robbery
AUDET was held for a Bail Hearing in Peterborough Provincial Courts on November 7t, 2014.
GONOUYA, and MOMPREVIL were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in Peterborough Provincial Courts on November 27, 2014.
