(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Monday December 10, 2012, shortly before 6 p.m., the Township of Perth East fire department (Milverton station), Perth County Ambulance and the Perth County OPP were dispatched to a two vehicle collision north of Milverton.
Investigation revealed that a 2006 Dodge pickup truck was travelling eastbound on Perth Line 72. The truck crossed Perth Road 131 directly in the path of a northbound 2005 Dodge pickup truck which was towing a utility trailer. The north bound truck struck the passer side of the eastbound truck, forcing both vehicles to enter into the north east shoulder and ditch area.
The passenger of the eastbound pickup truck, a 21 year old female from Stratford was transported to Stratford General Hospital with minor injuries. The 20 year old male driver of the eastbound pickup truck, a resident of the Municipality of West Perth did not sustain injuries as a result of the crash. The 43 year old male driver of the northbound pickup truck, a resident of Priceville, was also uninjured.
The 20 year old male driver of the eastbound pickup truck has been charged with “disobey stop sign-fail to stopâ€Â. The road and environmental conditions were good at the time of the collision. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage and required to be towed from the scene.
