(Chatham-Kent, ON) On the 6th of August, 2013 at 9:43 a.m. the Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call from a concerned motorist about a vehicle that nearly caused a collision on the 401 Highway eastbound near Merlin Townline.
The vehicle a 2010 Ford Fusion exited the 401 Highway at Bloomfield Road and was located by the OPP on Park Avenue West, swerving in its lane. The driver was showing signs of impairment by alcohol and open alcohol could be seen inside. She was arrested and alcohol tests at the Chatham-Kent OPP Detachment revealed that she was over three times the legal limit.
Skye EVANS, a 34 year old Cottam, Ontario woman has been charged under the Criminal Code and Liquor Licence Act with;
Impaired Operation / Motor Vehicle / Alcohol
Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content / Motor Vehicle
Drive Motor Vehicle with Liquor Readily Available
