HUNTSVILLE OPP INVESTIGATE ATTEMPT ROBBERY

(HUNTSVILLE, ON) On Monday August 12, 2013 just after 6:30pm an unknown male walked into a pharmacy on King William St in the town of Huntsville. The suspect was demanding narcotics from the Pharmacist. The male stated that he had a weapon but it was not visible to the Pharmacist.

The Pharmacist headed toward the back of the store at this point the suspect left the store then fled on foot. The Huntsville Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was contacted immediately and initially searched the area in attempts to locate him. Central Region Canine and Emergency Response Team (ERT) attended the area shortly after, but were not successful in locating the suspect.

The male suspect is described as

Caucasian in his early 20’s

Tall, slim build

Goatee

Blonde hair

Wearing glasses

Wearing a navy blue zip up hoodie

Black jeans

White sneakers

Beige/green coloured baseball hat

Anyone who may have seen anyone fitting this description around the Huntsville Place Mall around 6:30pm or has any information is asked to contact Huntsville OPP or Crime Stoppers.

Huntsville OPP along with the Muskoka Crime Unit continues to investigate.
