(Petawawa, Ontario) – The Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police is investigating a single motor vehicle collision on Hwy 17 west of Bissett Creek in Head Clara Maria Twp. The collision was reported at approximately 4:11 pm on the 22nd of August.
Preliminary investigation indicates that a westbound vehicle driven by 24 year old Jeremy Sisco of Yarmouth Nova Scotia left the roadway rolled and entered the south ditch. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The two passengers were transported to Mattawa Hospital. Hwy 17 is open to traffic.
P/C Mark Condron is the investigating officer. Ontario Provincial Police Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are assisting with the investigation.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
