(SOUTH PORCUPINE) – An officer with the South Porcupine Ontario Provincial Police has charged a Sudbury man with Driving Under Suspension stemming from a routine traffic stop on August 27th, 2013.
The OPP officer had occasion to stop the driver of a Dodge Ram pickup truck for an alleged equipment violation on Hwy 101 west of Timmins.
Based on the routine investigative steps taken by the OPP officer, it was determined that the driver is currently under suspension in the province of Ontario.
Philip WRIGHT, 39, of Sudbury, Ontario, has been charged with Driving While Under Suspension contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
WRIGHT is required to attend Provincial Court in Timmins on October 10th to answer to the charge laid against him.
The vehicle was towed from the scene.
