Update: MALE SERIOUSLY INJURIED IN FALL – Male Dies in Hospital
(SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX, ON)- On Friday August 30, 2013 at 4:18 p.m. members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Wardsville Fire Department and Middlesex-London Emergency Medical Service (EMS) responded to an incident on Longwood’s Road located in Southwest Middlesex.
Police learned that an adult male party was working on a roof of a family property when a boom portion of a commercial truck fell. The male, age 54 of Middlesex County, was found unconscious at the scene and transported to a local hospital where he later died as a result of injuries sustained in the incident.
The Ministry of Labour has been contacted and will be assisting with the investigation. The identity of the male is being withheld pending notification to next of kin.
The investigation is on-going.
