Distracted Driving

(DRYDEN, ON) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is reminding motorists that distractive driving refers to all forms of distracted or inattentive driving. In 2012 OPP investigated 83 fatalities where distracted driving was a casual factor. This is more than alcohol related fatalities.

Drivers know that texting while driving is a dangerous behaviour, but many still use their cell phones and other mobile devices when they are behind the wheel, putting themselves and others at risk. Many drivers see distracted driving* as risky behaviour when other drivers do it, but do not recognize how their own driving deteriorates.

Don’t answer the phone while driving, don’t text while driving. The life you save could be your own.
