(Town of Minto, ON) On Friday, August 30, 2013, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit, with the assistance of West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), and Wellington County OPP, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at an address located on Road 3 North, Town of Minto, Wellington County.
As a result of the execution of the search warrant, police revealed an outdoor cannabis marihuana grow operation. Police seized cannabis marihuana plants with an estimated street value of $723,000.00.
One male will be arrested and charged with production of marihuana under Section 7(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
