(Prince Edward County, ON)â€â€On September 3, 2013 at 1:07am officers from the Ontario Provincial Policeâ€â€Prince Edward County detachment responded to a disturbance on Burr Rd., in the Ward of Ameliasburg. Officers located a motor vehicle that was blocking both lanes of traffic. The man and woman found with the vehicle had been consuming alcohol.
The female driver, 56-year old Penny MAUDSLEY of Picton is charged with the following: Operating While Impaired contrary to Section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada and Operation With Over 80 mgs of Alcohol contrary to Section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
The male, 51-year old Robert JUBY was charged with Being Intoxicated in a Public Place contrary to Section 31(4) of the Liquor Licence Act.
Both parties were later released from police custody. The driver has a court date of September 18, 2013 in Picton.
