(Lansdowne,ON) On the 9th of September 2013 at around 6:20 a.m.Ontario Provincial Police in Leeds and 1000 Island Township were called to attend a broken down motorist on Hwy 401 east of the village of Lansdowne. Officers responded to the call which was in the westbound lanes of Hwy 401 around mile marker 642. Officers located a car broken down on the shoulder of the westbound lanes with two occupants.
The officer spoke to the occupants of the car. The male passenger attempted to thwart the officer by giving him false identification information. The officer through investigation was able to verify the identity of the passenger who was subsequently arrested for breaching several conditions of his probation order.
The officer later located several pieces of false identification documents on the passenger.
Arthurs Alekperov Goferds,28 yrs of North York, On. has been charged with Obstructing a Police Officer, Two counts of Breach of Probation Order and Utter Forged Document.
Goferds is to attend Brockville Court on 25th of October regarding these charges.
