(THESSALON, ON) On September 13, 2013 at 8:00 am the East Algoma Thessalon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were advise of a theft of gas which had occurred at the Lakeview Gas Bar in the town of Thessalon.
Officers located the vehicle on highway 17 in Tarbutt Township travelling westbound. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle and a pursuit ensued before the suspect fled from the vehicle on foot.
The suspect was apprehended by members of the Thessalon OPP, Sault Ste. Marie OPP along with the assistance of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service K-9 unit .

Flight from Police
Possession over $5,000
The accused has also been charged with offences under the Highway Traffic Act.
The accused will appear in bail court on Monday September 16, 2013.
