THREE INJURED IN CYCLING MISHAP

(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – On Sunday, September 15, 2013 at approximately 12:15 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was called to assist Grey County Emergency Services (EMS) following a cycling mishap on Grey Rd. 7 south of Grey Rd. 40 in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.

The three cyclists were participating in an annual bike racing event when the mishap occurred. The lead cyclist became unstable and fell from his bike after he had attempted to discard his water bottle. A second cyclist collided with the lead cyclist, and a third cyclist collided with the first two.

The three men, ages 35-40, from Richmond Hill, Ontario, received minor injuries. Two of them had lost consciousness temporarily as a result of the collision. They were taken to the Meaford Hospital by ambulance where they were treated and released.
