On September 16, 2013 at 7:38 a.m., the Guelph Police attended to the intersection of Wellington Street and Wyndham Street for a cyclist struck by a car. The male cyclist, who was wearing his helmet, was taken to Guelph hospital where early reports indicated he was in stable condition but did suffer a head injury as well as an injury to his ankle. He has since been transported to Hamilton. The scene is still under police investigation.
