Around 3:30 a.m. this morning, officers responded to a break and enter at a residence on Cox Avenue in Chatham. The homeowner awoke to find an unknown male suspect standing in her kitchen. The suspect fled the residence immediately. The homeowner was not injured. The suspect stole two purses.
