(NOTTAWASAGA, ON)- On the September 14, 2013 at 2:26 am, a member of the Nottawasaga Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was parked on the corner of Queen Street north and Mill Street in the Town of New Tecumseth.
Police heard a motor vehicle spinning its tires and then observed a white Pontiac Grandprix at the corner of Mill Street and Queen Street The vehicle began to spin its wheels, the vehicle was spinning its wheels for so long that there was a large amount of smoke created from the tires. The vehicle then accelerated quickly northbound on Queen Street North and was promptly stopped by police.
Charged is 22 year old Orangeville resident Andrew COSTELLO, he is charged with Race a motor vehicle and drive a motor vehicle with no insurance under the Highway Traffic Act, he has an upcoming court date September 9, 2013. The vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days.
