(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – On Wednesday September 18, 2013 at 3:05 p.m. members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Thames Centre Fire Department, CN Rail, Hydro One and London-Middlesex Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a structure fire on Marion Street just east of Hamilton Crescent in the Municipality of Thames Centre.
Due to the nature and location of the incident Marion Street was closed for several hours as emergency crews worked to extinguish the fire.
No injuries or loss of life were reported in this incident. Police have learned that the cause of the fire was been determined to be accidental, with an estimated value of loss at over $400,000.
