PUBLIC ASSISTS POLICE TO CATCH IMPAIRED DRIVER

(ORILLIA, ON) – The Orillia Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) would like to thank the public for their assistance in reporting an impaired driver.

On September 21, 2013 at approximately 10:30 a.m., Orillia OPP responded to a call of a possible impaired driver leaving a gas station near Beaverton on Highway 12. Officers observed the suspect vehicle travelling north on Highway 12 in Ramara Township and initiated a vehicle stop. The driver of the vehicle failed a roadside breath test and was arrested.

Jorden GRANT, 26 years old of Otonabee- South Monaghan Township, has been charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Exceed 80 milligrams Blood Alcohol Content. He attended a bail hearing and was released with a court date in Orillia on October 22, 2013.
