(TOWNSHIP OF CHATSWORTH, ON) – On Tuesday, September 24, 2013, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU), with the assistance of Grey County OPP executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a property on Grey Road 3, in the Township of Chatsworth, Grey County.
As a result of the execution of the search warrant, an outdoor marihuana grow operation was revealed. Police seized cannabis marihuana plants and processed cannabis marihuana, cannabis resin, and psilocybin. The estimated, combined value of the seized controlled substances was $10,992.50. Police also seized several firearms, and prohibited weapons from the residence during the execution of the search warrant.
A 31 year old male from the Township of Chatsworth will be arrested and charged with production of cannabis marihuana, possession of cannabis marihuana, possession of cannabis resin, possession of psilocybin, 5 counts of careless storage of firearms, and 3 counts of possession of prohibited weapons.
