(COUNTY OF BRANT, ON) – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), County of Brant detachment officers were investigating a stolen vehicle complaint.
On Friday September 27th, 2013 at approximately 10:32 p.m. officers observed the stolen 1999 Cadillac travelling west bound on the Fourth Concession. Two police vehicles with emergency lights and sirens activated attempted to stop the vehicle. The stolen vehicle attempted to evade the police officers. The male driver of the stolen vehicle collided with a police cruiser. Officers finally stopped the stolen vehicle on Highway 2 west of Maple Avenue.
One officer and the male suspect received minor injuries and were transported to the Brantford General Hospital.
The West Region Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Team is currently assisting with the investigation. Highway 2 West of Maple Avenue will be closed for the next several hours, for the investigation.
