(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment was contacted by a concerned homeowner at a Homewood Avenue, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Sunday, September 29, 2013, at approximately 5:07 a.m., a homeowner contacted police after a suspicious male was knocking on the rear door of their residence attempting to gain entry.
Through investigation it was determined that a 35 year old male who was heavily intoxicated entered the rear porch believing that he was at his friends residence. The male was subsequently removed by police.
Police are reminding all home owners to ensure that all doors and windows are secured preventing anyone from gaining access to your residence.
