(SEVERN TOWNSHIP) – The Orillia Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged a male with Impaired Driving.
On October 2, 2013 at approximately 12:10 p.m., police were on routine patrol on Division Road in Severn Township when a black Electric Scooter was observed swaying from side to side. At that time a traffic stop was conducted, the driver failed a roadside breath test and was arrested.
Michael PETERSON, 48 years old of Severn Township, has been charged with Impaired Driving and has a court date in Orillia on November 12th, 2013.
The Orillia OPP would like to remind the public that Electric Scooters are considered a motor vehicle under the Criminal Code of Canada, and are subject to all laws pertaining to drinking and driving.
