(Selwyn Township, ON) – On Saturday October 5, at approximately 1:30 am Officers from Peterborough County OPP detachment were called to a disturbance at a trailer park located on Kerry Line.
Upon arriving at the scene officers discovered that a group of youth and young adults had been drinking alcohol at a trailer and an argument had occurred. The verbal argument quickly became a physical argument when a 17 year old male punched a second male.
A physical altercation then erupted and a third male stabbed the 17 year old male.
The stabbed male received non-life threatening injuries and was not transported to Hospital.
As a result of the investigation two males have been charged with criminal offences.
Charged are:
1) a 17 year old male residence of Oshawa, charged with Assault
2) 19 year old, Meshach GITTENS of Scarborough is charged with Assault with a weapon.
The 17 year old male is schedule for a first appearance in Peterborough Provincial Courts on November 18. GITTENS was held for a bail hearing.
