(Tweed, ON) – On October 6, 2013 just after 10:00 pm, Central Hastings O.P.P were called to a disturbance on Jamieson Street in the Municipality of Tweed in relation to two males drinking behind the grocery store. On arrival officers located two males who ran into the yard of a nearby residence. One of the males, 32 year old Craig PREVOST was found to be intoxicated and out past his curfew therefore contravening conditions of his Recognizance of Bail. When officers attempted to place PREVOST under arrest he began to resist and continued to try to wrestle himself free from police.
As a result PREVOST is charged with three counts of Breach of Recognizance of Bail as well as Resisting a Peace Officer. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing today.
The second male, a 30 year old of Addington Highlands Township, ON was arrested and charged for being intoxicated in a public place. He was held in custody until sober.
