(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) On Friday October 4, 2013, at approximately 2:08 pm, Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer Andrew Smith was conducting stationary radar on Highway 6 south of Paisley Road, Guelph.
The officer observed a 2003 Pontiac Sunfire travelling northbound well above the posted speed limit. Police locked the vehicle on radar at 132km/h in a 70 km/h zone.
Michelle Crawford age 21 of Brampton has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. The driver’s licence has been suspended and vehicle seized for a period of 7 days as per statute. She is scheduled to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on November 20, 2013 to answer to the charge.
