FAIL TO REMAIN COLLISION RESULTS IN CHARGES

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment is investigating a fail to remain collision at a Queen Street North at Robinson Street, Simcoe, Norfolk County address.

On Monday October 7, 2013 at approximately 2:20 pm police were called to investigate a collision at the intersection and were advised that a green Honda involved in the collision had fled the scene. The vehicle was located by police a short time later and after a short pursuit the driver brought the vehicle to a stop. The driver of the vehicle then fled on foot and was arrested by police after a short foot pursuit.

Charged with Flight while pursued by police, Fail to comply with Probation Order, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime as well as charges under the Controlled Drug and Substance Act and the Highway Traffic Act is 22 year old Jordan Sheppard of Garson, Ontario. He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
