(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Sunday October 06, 2013 shortly before 5 p.m. a Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a male walking on Ontario Rd. in Mitchell carrying a back pack. The officer recognized the back pack as one which was reported stolen to the OPP in West Perth in March of 2013.
The officer arrested the male for being in possession of stolen property. While checking the contents of the back pack the officer located marihuana.
Danial TURNER (40) of the Municipality of West Perth has been charged with “possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000â€Â, “possession of a schedule II substance- Cannabis Marihuana over 30 gramsâ€Â, and with “failing to comply with probation orderâ€Â. The male appeared at a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear in Stratford court on October 28, 2013 to answer to these charges.
