(TECUMSEH, ON) -An Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer from Lambton County has been issued an offence notice under the Provincial Offences Act after a collision in Tecumseh this afternoon.
The officer was operating a marked OPP vehicle travelling at a slow rate of speed, southbound, merging onto Manning Road from Essex County Road 22 in Tecumseh. He struck the vehicle directly in front of him that was stopped in the merging lane.
No other vehicles were involved and no one was injured in the collision.
Constable Rick SCOTT an 8 year member of the Lambton County OPP has been charged with Follow Too Closely under the Highway Traffic Act.
