(CLEARVIEW TOWNSHIP, ON.) – On Saturday, October 19th, 2013 at approximately 11:00 p.m., a member of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police while on routine patrol in the area of Main Street and King Street in the Town of Stayner observed a motor vehicle at a high rate of speed traveling south bound. This motor vehicle a 2006 Ford Focus was followed and Police onto Country Road #42 where Police recorded the speed of this motor vehicle at 181 km/h. This motor vehicle was stopped near Side Road 21 – 22 Nottawasaga. A Police check of the driver of this motor vehicle revealed that he possessed a valid G2 Ontario Drivers’ Licence.
Charged with “Stunt Driving – Speeding 181 Km/h in an 80 Km/k posted zone†is a 17 year old male from Glencarin, Ontario. First appearance is November 14th, 2013 in Wasaga Beach Provincial Court.
In addition this driver’s Drivers’ Licence has been suspended for 7 days and the above motor vehicle seized for 7 days.
