(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) -On Friday October 25, 2013 at approximately 1:39 am, officers from the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) were conducting a R.I.D.E. Program on Highway 6 and College Avenue, in the City of Guelph. A male driver of a 2012 Hyundai Veloster entered the check point and showed signs of alcohol consumption. A Roadside Screening Device test was administered which resulted in a fail.
During the investigation, it was discovered that he was breaching conditions from a Recognizance Order.
Andrzej KONONOWICZ age 30 of Mississauga has been charged with Over 80 mgs, and Breach of Recognizance x 2 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Bail Court on October 25, 2013 to answer to the charge.
