(QUINTE WEST, ON) – The poor weather conditions kept Quinte West OPP officers busy over the weekend. Officers dealt with seven motor vehicle collisions over Saturday and Sunday.
All of the collisions were minor in nature resulting in property damage only. No injuries were reported.
The Quinte West detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police would like to remind motorists to adjust their speeds with the road conditions.
With the cooler weather upon us the roadways become increasingly slippery when the rain begins to fall. Freezing of the paved roadways over bridges and in higher elevations may occur. Drivers need to leave extra space between themselves and the vehicles ahead of them.
