In mid-October 2013, the Guelph Police commenced an investigation into a Guelph man in relation to allegations of various historical sexual assaults. During the course of the investigation, police executed a search warrant at his Guelph residence on October 26, 2013.
On October 27, 2013, William Michael SMITH, 53 years, was arrested and charged with five counts of sexual assault, six counts of sexual interference, two counts of invitation to sexual touching, voyeurism, make child pornography, and two counts of possess child pornography. The charges involve multiple victims of various ages and are historical in nature. He will appear in court on October 31, 2013.
