Chatham Woman Charged with Impaired Driving

The Chatham-Kent Police have arrested a woman for impaired driving.

At approximately 01:00 am on the 28th of October 2013, a concerned citizen notified Chatham-Kent Police Service of a possible impaired driver in Wallaceburg. Officers quickly located the motor vehicle.

Through investigation, the officer believed that the driver was operating the motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and she was arrested. The woman was transported to Police Headquarters for further breath tests. Further investigation revealed that the woman was also a prohibited driver.

As a result a 36 year old Orchard Heights woman has been charged with having a blood alcohol limit exceeding the legal limit, and driving while disqualified. The vehicle she was driving was impounded for 45 days according to the Vehicle Impoundment Program.
