DRINKING DRIVER COLLIDES WITH A POLE IN BURFORD

(COUNTY OF BRANT, ON) – The County of Brant Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), officers were called to a single vehicle collision on Maple Avenue South at Rutherford Street.

At approximately 4:39 p.m. Monday November 4th, 2013, officers attended the scene of the collision. Officers were advised by citizens that the driver attempted to leave the scene, but they removed the keys from the vehicle. While an officer was talking to the male driver, he observed all the usual signs of impairment by alcohol. The male driver was taken to Brantford General Hospital for minor injuries. The driver was given the Intoxilyzer Test at the Brantford General Hospital.

As a result of the tests, Robert MANN-YOUNG 53 years of age from the County of Brant is facing the following Criminal charges

Impaired Driving
Drive over 80 milligrams
Mischief under $5,000.00

The accused is scheduled to attend Provincial Court in Brantford on November 29th, 2013 to answer to the charges.
