Angus TAIT – Break and Enter, Theft, Breach

(KENORA, ON) Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police have charged four people in relation to a number of break and enters in the Kenora area.

On Tuesday November 18, 2014 the Kenora OPP responded to a report of a break and enter in progress in the Redditt area. Police attended and located a male in an outbuilding of a residence. The male was arrested at the scene. The police investigation revealed the male had broken into a Kenora area business earlier in the day, stolen a vehicle and drove to the Reddit location where he broke into the outbuilding.

As a result of this investigation, 21 year old Angus TAIT of Kenora has been charged with Break and Enter with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence (2 counts) contrary to section 348(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC), Break and Enter a Dwelling House and Commit an Indictable Offence sec 348(1)(b) CC, Theft Over $5000, Motor Vehicle sec 334(a) CC and Fail to Comply with Probation Order sec 733.1(1) CC. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing in Kenora Court.

In an unrelated incident, the Kenora OPP responded to another break and enter in progress on November 18, 2014 shortly before 10:30 pm. Police attended a business in the North end of Kenora and located 3 males inside the building. All three men were arrested at the scene.

As a result of this investigation 18 year old Nathan EVERTON, 19 year old Geordie KAKEGAMIC and a 17 year old male youth have been charged with Break and Enter with Intent to commit and Indictable Offence contrary to section 348(1)(a) CC. They were released and are to appear in Kenora Court on January 6 (youth court) and January 8, 2015.
