(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment investigated a theft after police were contacted by a concerned citizen at a West Street, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario, address.
On Tuesday, November 11, 2014 between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., an unknown suspect attended the Simcoe Mall and proceeded to remove a poppy donation box from the counter of Wrap It Up located in the food court. The donation box was subsequently located outside the mall by a concerned member of the public who returned it with the poppies however all the funds that were donated were taken.
As a result of police investigation, a male was identified and subsequently arrested and charged on Friday, November 28, 2014.
Charged with theft under $5,000 is 20 year old Cody Arthur James CHRISTIAN of Norfolk County, Ontario.
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charge.
