(Hwy# 37 Belleville, ON) – On December 4, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. members of Central Hastings O.P.P responded to a three vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway #37 at Blessington Road in the City of Belleville.
Three consecutive southbound vehicles were slowing to stop for a red light at the intersection when the rear vehicle, a pickup truck rear-ended the mini-van in front of it. This then caused the mini-van to bump the vehicle in front of it, also a mini-van.
The driver of mini-van struck by the pickup truck was transported to hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 20 year old woman of Plainfield, ON was charged with Careless Driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
