(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – On December 7, 2014 officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) traffic unit established a RIDE check at the intersection of Portage Road and Maritime Road that resulted in numerous charges.
The RIDE check resulted in one impaired driver being arrested and charged, 7 Highway Traffic Act infractions being issued and 1 drug related charge.
Julian CRUZ, 21 years of age, of Eldon Township, was found to be in possession of a small quantity of Percocet pills. The accused was charged with the offence and will appear in court, in Lindsay, on January 22, 2015.
