(TILLSONBURG, ON.) – On December 12, 2014 at approximately 5:35 p.m. Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to the report of a robbery at the CIBC Bank located in the Town Centre Mall on Broadway Street in Tillsonburg.
A lone male entered the bank shortly after 5:30 p.m. and approached the female teller. The male threatened the teller, indicating he had a weapon. He stole a quantity of cash and fled the area on foot.
Members of the OPP Canine Unit and Emergency Response Team assisted with a search of the area and Forensic Identification Officers attended to examine the scene.
Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect described as follows (photos attached):
Male, approximately 25-35 years old
Darker complexion
6’0†tall
180 lbs
Thin build
Wearing a grey ¾ length wool coat and a black and red checkered winter hat with ear flaps
